Z's.
By P.B. Phillips

‘Come on Master, pull on your woollen vest.

I’ve a lead in my sore mouth, so can’t bark my request.’

‘Ok piggy give me a mo,

I’ll fill the kettle, then we’ll go.'

‘Holy Hanna, glory be, migrating geese as far as the eye can see.

‘The V’s, Y’s and W’s fly out of the dawn sun.

‘Maybe 20,000 when all said and done.'

‘What do you think Ollie? What do you say?’

‘I’m not that bothered, they’re so far away.

‘My task is before me, here by this bush.

‘I need a pee and there’s a morning poop to push.’

‘That was a wonder my pug-bear.

‘All those birds, high in the air.’

‘Zip it Master, it’s time for my meds,

‘Let’s get home and make Z’s in our beds.’
